Shade or Support?
Hello World!
Do you know how it feels to venture off in the pursuit of your dreams and finally accomplish some goals you set, just to have someone whom you thought would be excited be extremely negative?
-Well I know all about the personal pursuit with the lack of general support.
I'm sure we've all felt shade before and probably even threw some as well but have you ever been thrown shade for wanting to advance in your life?
Let me explain:
It's like the people in your life are only happy for you when you accomplish goals THEY feel are beneficial to them or can get them some likes on Facebook.
Many of our family members do not extend their full support beyond the saying, "I'm here if you need me." That's obviously just for show because when you need something as simple as SUPPORT they get SHADY, SHADY SUPPORT. And you get to see first hand visually how all the things they said were false emotions to get you to think you had people in your corner or individuals who genuinely believed in you.
Thank life for hardships because it'll ALWAYS reveal the fakeness each time.
Have you ever told someone an idea you had and they completely shut it down then when you pursued it anyway and advanced, you heard something like "I always knew you could do it!"
Or what about discussed how you plan to level up and was chewed up for even dreaming that you could get out of the hell hole they decided to be stuck in?
Maybe even they laughed at you to your face and although they probably didn't or did say it but they was definitely indicating "You ain't gone be shit."
What I'm really getting at is, a person will try to alter your mind, dreams, or goals when they can't take how determined you are. An individual who has no drive or motivation or someone who completely counted themselves out will have a perception that because they didn't advance in like no one can. When they failed at their pursuits they want others to fail to, to make them believe that if they couldn't no one could. These people are individuals who didn't give it 100% and gave up! And they're looking at you in their prime projecting their outcomes on you.
Seriously people, DREAM STEALERS EXIST!
And they start by showing a bare minimum support while gradually learning your idea inside out, just to take your idea and act like they thought of it. The same idea they RIDICULED you about. They seen the pros and cons and weighed them out with you without working on it with you.
This isn't every individual and some people truly support others wholeheartedly.
That's why it's important to keep your dreams to yourself but you can share the small steps it takes to achieve it but the overall goal, destination or person you plan to be, leave that for yourself. Trust me.
Many of us honestly don't ask for help because the help can't wait to broadcast how they helped someone when it's not helping if you looking for something in return, that's an EXCHANGE not HELP! They can't wait to write a paragraph about a good deed, you had to pay for, work for, give something in return for. Isn't that flabbergasting? It's as if you can feel the ungenuineness in their compliment you don't have to really analyze it.
Some people don't care about you or what you're doing until they see you then all of sudden they know you again. That's not how it works especially when the opposing individual wants all the regard in the world. If it's not mutual just focus on you. You'll realize many times in life were you'll have to be selfish especially when you've been selfless in order to advance to the next level of shade they'll throw because you MADE IT FURTHER THAN THEY EVER COULD!
Pursue your goals daily
Attack your dream
Expand your knowledge daily
Forget a support system be your support system
Brand and Promote Yourself daily
Strengthen your mindset daily
Enjoy the present
Understand the future is subject to change
For the individuals that count you out or put you down, be sure to thank them with a big ol' smile! Use their disregard to fuel you in your desire to be great and do great things!
