DIAMONDS are made from PRESSURE!
Diamond: a precious stone consisting of a clear and typically colorless crystalline form of pure carbon, the hardest naturally occurring substance. That is the politically correct definition of a diamond but what defines a real diamond is being able to shine after all the pressure that's been applied. To still be able to be a remarkable, priceless gem after you've endured the harshest experiences life has to offer you. Well we all wish to own diamonds but only a few of us are so fortunate to actually become diamonds. The owner of the new and trendy, Diamond Boutique is the epitome of just that! Diamond Clay knows all about being a diamond in the rough and overcoming obstacles to become a priceless gem.
Being a girl from the city of Detroit, she learned early on about facing adversity! Diamond faced rejection, endured embarrassment, fought feelings of insecurity, accepted the notion of being overlooked, and pushed through discrimination even from some of her family members. Although Diamond comes from humble beginnings she was able to make a way for herself by beginning her educational venture at Eastern Michigan University.
Many of us Detroit Natives are familiar with the East Warren area, which happens to be where this little gem grew up! Diamond was raised and supported wholeheartedly by her mother, Yolanda Clay. Throughout Diamond's struggle she managed to remain focused on her goals. Even was able to stray away from immense temptation of peer pressure from others. Diamond found inspiration everywhere but most commonly from her family's lack of general support. One individual that fueled Diamond's grind was her Father. I'm sure many of you can relate to the absence of a Father, along with the lack of effective communication, and general support.
Considering Diamond was extremely focused on her goals and not the hype in the world so she faced massed ridicule about things her peers felt were more important like; a boyfriend, sexuality, sex, being a social, etc.. Basically they peered into her life to learn all the wrong things and that showed Diamond, who was really on her side as she continued in school to pursue her Degree! With many of her family members and friends being currently pregnant, Diamond didn't miss out on much. It's a great thing Diamond didn't mind being taunted because on April 22nd, 2017 she got the D (That Degree)!
Diamond graduated with HONORS from Eastern Michigan University holding a ravishing G.P.A of 3.6, while being the student president of a organization called: Detroit Does Well, as well as completing over 200 hours in community service, its blatantly clear Diamond did the damn thang!
-Diamond can now say she has a degree in Management-
Diamond Clay has a grind out of this world! Not only did she manage long work hours and late nights doing homework or studying, she also managed to start a business! THIS GIRL IS ON FIYAAAAAA! Diamond got the idea to start her own boutique after undergoing a bad experience with a product she brought from an online boutique. Staring at an outfit that was entirely too small, expensive and from reading their policy that she noticed they weren't going justify the transaction. Diamond started to brand herself by creating The Diamond Boutique!
Mission Statement: The Diamond Boutique is a paradise dedicated to bringing convenience, affordability, and high quality fashion to today’s woman. Our utopia thrives on empowering and inspiring women to reach their goals, beginning with their closet.
Diamond found it is unfair to pay outlandish prices, and in some cases receive an item fit for a two year old, with the notion of no returns, exchanges or store credit! So she made sure she considered all those elements before branching off into her own brand. By strategically picking models who looked realistic, like herself, like real people. She wanted an actual young women not VS bombshells that make the average woman feel like a whale. Diamond quoted 21 savage, "I like 'em with a fat ass n some thighs." Diamond takes pride in the variety of women she displays! If you visit her website you'll see ladies ranging from dark, light, skinny, curvy, large breast , no breast, greens beans, potatoes, tomatoes, you name it!
Through all of her hardship Diamond has managed to keep her vivacious sense of humor alive! Actually, she's able to joke about almost anything due to life experience! Well now that Diamond is finally done with undergrad school, she plans to return for Grad school as well. Although Diamond's ultimate goal is to ball on all! No, but seriously Diamond has hopes to expand her brand into something major and use a portion of the profits to give back to the community!
Diamonds are made from pressure right? So of course one was formed!
